Developed by Migrart.waw.pl / Strefa WolnoSłowa and the media-initiative “sekktor”, the pitching event will offer the floor to international artists and arts managers, who reside in Poland and are eager to present their in-progress projects and project ideas to the local professional audience, cultural institutions and wider public.
Doing a pitch is in essence practicing hope: it’s about voicing fresh ideas and bridging different experiences, fostering new connections and paving way to integration within the widening professional cultural communities in Poland.
The projects to be pitched will be selected via an open call (May 8-18, 2023) and are expected to stem from a wide variety of creative fields and cross-cultural sectors. Presented in English and Polish, each presentation will be 5 minutes long, followed by a 5-minute discussion with the attending professionals and general public. As a valuable add-on, the organizers will also create space for more informal networking after the pitches.
