A critic and culture historian, a professor in Instytut Kultury Polskiej (the Institute of Polish Culture) at the University of Warsaw. She deals with the history of Polish modern culture from the visual perspective, visual memory, including the memory of The Holocaust, and the issue of the body and gender. As a researcher, an educator, and an expert, she cooperates with cultural institutions and non-governmental organizations in Warsaw.
